MONTHS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL
The following Original documents should
be in our possession at least four weeks
prior to the wedding date:(updated
July 15, 2002)
Both Bride and Groom Must Provide:

Original Birth Certificate of both bride and
groom (issued by the state, or province of
birth)
Note: Names of both mother and father must appear on certificate - Proof of adoption or name changes if applicable.
- Declaration
of Civil Status-Single, Divorced, Widowed
(issued by the state, or province)
Note: If divorced or widowed, the Divorce Decree or Widow Decree must be included. - All documents must be valid no more than six months from issue date. All documents must be originals with official government seal. Passports must be valid for at least six months from departure date.
- APOSTILLE
REQUIRED FOR Citizens of: Canada, Columbia,
Peru, Venezuela, United Kingdom, United States.
An Apostille document is a validation of a certificate and is ONLY issued by the office of Vital Statistics located within the state or province capital offices. Counties, municipalities or city offices can not issue an Apostille.
Birth Certificate, Declaration of Civil Status, Divorce or Widow Decree must be accompanied with an 'Apostile' - 2 Passport photos of the Bride and the Groom
- A clear photocopy of each passport.
- Date of arrival on Bonaire
- Intended length of stay on Bonaire
If they are bringing their own witnesses:
- Photocopy of valid passport (original will be required upon arrival)

The
wedding can take place after a temporary residency
permit has been received at the Immigration
Office (c/o Multro). It is important to arrive
at least four working days before the
wedding date in order to complete the official
government documents. Weddings can now take
place outside the official government building
for example at the beach, or on a boat. However
there is an extra charge for this option depending
on the details.
